Disabled Support Services
The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 protects individuals across Australia from unfair treatment in many parts of public life. The Act makes disability discrimination unlawful and promotes equal rights, equal opportunity and equal access for people with disabilities. Australia ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in 2008.
We value and support the disabled within our community. We have volunteers who understand disability and they can talk on your behalf with various agencies.
In addition, our volunteers can guide and support you to access services from NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).
NDIS is being rolled out in certain areas of NSW from July 2016.

To be eligible to access NDIS services you must meet 3 conditions:

Have Australian residency – Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or hold a Protected Special Category Visa

Must be aged under 65 years
-
Must have Permanent and Significant disability
